Game Sense - Netball - Session One - Team Warm- up. Ver. Г¶ffentlicht am 1. This video was created by the Health Promotion Service of the Central Coast Local Health District. The Health Promotion Service encourages increased physical activity for all age groups.
One great way to increase activity levels in physical activity sessions for children and young people is by using the Game Sense approach to leading activities. Game Sense (AKA Teaching Games for Understanding) takes the emphasis off skilled based learning and puts the emphasis back on developing game play concepts and strategies that are transferrable across a wide range of games. Things like moving into space to create opportunities for your team mates, not rushing passes, reading the play and working as a team in defence. The best part is that the Game Sense approach achieves this by playing loads of high involvement games and having fun! Skill learning occurs through guided discovery, and a deeper understanding of game play is developed through questioning and problem solving. Game Sense increases enjoyment, motivation and participation. This series of videos is all about seeing Game Sense in action.
